The April Coffee Brewer has produced very balanced cups with a lot of clarity for us with coffees like our Washed Thailand and our Washed Ecuador. We like that it's a plastic material to aid in heat retention to the coffee slurry.
Here is a recipe we like using:
22 grams of coffee to 350 grams of water
1. Add 150 grams of water and swirl the slurry by holding the brewer with both hands and moving in circular motion.
2. At 45 seconds, add 100 grams of water by center pouring for the first 70 grams then, go out in concentric circles for the remaining 30 grams of water.
3. At 1:30 add the remaining 100 grams of water with the Melodrip.
4. Let it draw down.
This type of brew should finish at 2:30 - 2:45.
